I need to run 3 Tv's at my home. Whats is the most cost effective way to power them with DTH.

From what I read

Single Dish and multiple STB's seems the best way to go. Which provider offers best tarriff for multiple TV's

Is it possible to power all TV's with Single STB?

Thanks for reading.

You are right, Single Dish with multiple STBs (one each for each TV).

TataSky charges additional connections about 160 for SD and 200 for HD. At that price you'll get the same channel pack you have chosen for the main connection. I think others also charges similarly.

Single STB for all tv is possible, but in that case all the TV will show the same channel as the decoding of the channel happens at the STB and then being fed to the TV. So in case you split the signal post the STB, all the TVs will get the same feed.

So single dish+multiple STB's is the only way out? No way for any Jugaad and stuff?

I wonder if you can use the HDMI for TV1 and the blue, green, yellow + audio outs to TV2. Should also work. Of course since the TVs are in separate rooms operating the Settopbox remote would be a challenge

use yellow for 1st tv.........use white audio for this..
use RGB for another....use red audio for this tv
use hdmi for the 3rd.....audio already been carried...
:p:p

but same ch in all tv and signal drop will also.
most cost effective.

otherwise the multiple tv connection is there in all stb providers

another option is to get only two boxes.

TS allows a IR blaster for the third room- thats a one time cost and no monthly subscription. So atleast u save 200 p.m

Sorry. No jugaad is possible. One STB will tune to one channel at a time. So if you run parallel connection, basically you will get one channel at all parallel points. In the old cable days, the situation was different. The cable delivered unencrypted multi-channel signal at various frequencies to the TV and the TV tuner tuned to the respective channel frequencies. Hence you could have one cable connection and multiple TVs. These days are out. Now even cable is going digital with STB. Basically STB means fulfillment of one TV.

IR blaster or whatever, you will still get the same channel on the 3rd TV. IR blaster will only allow changing channel remotely from another room. If both TVs are ON, there will a nice jugalbandi between the individuals in the two rooms. :)

Go for multiroom packs with ur satellite provider. Almost all providers have this option and allow significant discount too.

I pay 550 for the primary hd connection and pay only 250 for the child dish hd connection (same 550 pack) and 160 on a non hd connection whose actual package rate is 340

In my experience, the three TVs are never used simultaneously and hence this option.
It is obvious that there is NO way to view 3 separate channels except by getting a multi-room subscription.
