Blues, jazz, rock and what power packed stuff.
Terrific cover of the Neil Young Classic. The story in the song is fascinating as well. Hernan Cortez led a conquest of the Central America resulting in the decimation of the indigenous population through violence and disease.

I am not sure what the motivation is because there is a war going on in Ukraine but Wolfe radio keeps posting nice Nepali blues sung in a mild Ukrainian accent …

I went over to the Youtube channel and noticed that it has a "Altered or Synthetic Content" tag on it indicating this might be AI generated. The slick graphics on the Wolfe Radio videos strongly indicate these could be AI generated. Not sure but the few songs that I've seen are superb!

Never realised there was a blues thread. One of my favourite genres.

Lightnin’ Hopkins is one of my favourite artists and this recording is wonderful. Just a man with a voice like gravel, a guitar and a piano, interacting with a crowd. Best savoured late at night, glass in hand, with no distractions.

Lightnin in New York was originally released in 1961. This is a 2022, Bernie Grundman remastered reissue by Candid. Discogs tells me a lot of people have received questionable copies - scratched, warped, etc. Luckily mine is pretty decent. Phattest piece of vinyl in my collection (200 grams probably), if that’s of any interest.

Saturday afternoon with one of the most influential bluesmen ever. Learning from greats like Mud and Wolf, Paul Butterfield took that classic Chicago electric blues sound and added layers of rock and jazz to it and ended up as one of the greatest exponents of the blues harp, ever.

Continuing with the great Albert King’s self-titled 1976 album. Contains a lovely version of Willie Dixon’s blues standard - I’m Ready.
