if after audition youre confused then i doubt we can be of much help:).

you said that they all have their unique sound signatures. i think its best to associate this with the type of music you listen to. again thats a little difficult because for indian classical and older music you want something warmer to cut out listening fatigue. for rock you want something neutral at least. the nad i guess will take care of the warmth that is required.

i believe im rambling without being much help...

You can audition usher s520 , paradigm mini monitor, QA bookshelfs , mordount short mezzo and see if they help you decide :D .

Go for Monitor Audio M2. From driver specification, build, performance and VFM point of view its the Best Choice.

all of them r vfm spkrs. they're more or less in same price bracket(13-15k).
specs are also very close to each other.
all 4 have good low end, clear mids and highs.

Arun, I was in the same boat about a month ago and here is my advice (I am assuming you are a first time buyer. If you are an experienced audio enthusiast, ignore the rest of the post).

Buy something.

At this price range, you will be picking between compromises. I auditioned the PSB alphas and the Wharfedale diamonds and both had their strong points. I chose the Wharfedale because I had heard so much about the 9.1 and 10.1. The alpha B1 is also popular but nothing beat the press coverage that the diamond .1s get. (Yes, I didn't trust my ears, they confused me.).

After listening to them for about a month, I have a better idea of what to look for when auditioning. I will upgrade in 6-8 month to something much better but this time I will be able to select with a little more confidence.

Bottom line is: these are hopefully not the last set of speakers you will be buying. Just get started somewhere.

Arun,

make the list from 4 to 2 so you can pick one easy....

Choose between M2 and B1. Since you have nad PSB seems to pair well and M2 as well... Heard a lot about Marantz with wharfs but not nad...

Go on mate..... :) . There is no perfect product eod .... So make a call start enjoying the music on your choice of speakers.

NAD 315BEE with PSB Alpha B1 is a very good combo. Also as its a known fact that PSBs gel very well with a NAD amplifier.

You are right but of the speakers that you have listed only Monitor Audio M2 comes with a 6.5" woofer, hence it can go handle more range of Bass frequency. Other models that you have stated Paradigm, PSB etc come with 5.25" woofer.
M2 will give more full bodied sound. :licklips:
