Guys!

Could you suggest some good bookshelves and center speaker, which one can buy from US for use in India?

I would source the AVR(Denon X520BT or Marantz NR1506) and Subwoofer in India.

Please pour your suggestions!

Pioneer vsx531, denon x520, Yamaha 481, marantz 1506 are some of the good receivers in lower budget. You will find many people on online forums happily driving Andrew Jones speakers with wide range of receivers

What is the price / budget your looking???

Well within $200 - $250 for speakers + center.

Sub, Either in US(Should be dual voltage) for around $200/- or India for around INR 20K.

AVR from India for around INR 40K.

I would NOT be staying much in India, but would like something more than the TV speakers! :ohyeah:

If i understand correctly you had a budget of $ 1000 /- for the entire setup

Bookshelf + Center ---> $250
AVR (Rs 40k) ---> $550 (approx)
Sub (Rs 20k) ---> $200 (approx)
---------------------------------
Total ---> $1000

So what i'm suggesting invest only in Klipsch R-15PM, which will cost you approx $399.00 & your still left with $600 which you can plan of adding sub if required, bcoz these bookshelf have sub-out connect too which is an advantage :) you can add subwoofer later if required. It does have Bluetooth, analog / digital inputs too, so you can connect TV / any other source to these speakers. Plus it have a remote to control vol etc.

Think about it, audition it if you have any opportunity to do so & then take a call.

Cheers,
Binu

The whole point of focusing on Bookshelves + Surrounds + Center is to avoid getting powered items from US. The reason being the US Voltage. I am NOT keen to run the HT system on step down transformers.

I would source an AVR from India. On sub-woofer, I see some of them have dual voltage here. Like, this one below.

Ok, so if the idea is to setup complete 5.1 system then ignore my comments :) because those bookshelf's won't provide you option to expand more than 2.1, In that case you need AVR down the line.

Could these fronts and center go along with Denon X520BT/Marantz NR1506 receiver?

I would source the fronts and center here in US and pair it with Denon X520BT OR Marantz NR1506 from India.

I need to close this ASAP.

Please advise.
