Hi

I would like to buy a new speaker system for my PC. But due to space constraints I am looking for a good 2.1 system preferably with built-in dac

When I was looking at bose website, I came to see that they work through usb (built-in dac). Further it seems they create virtual surround sound which I feel will be useful while watching movies

Could anyone please advice on Bose Companion 5? Not sure if its worth

Thanks & Regards

I have heard it and liked it. The sound is big and clear but quiet expensive for a computer speaker. No distortion at high volume levels.8-))

i have used the BOSE companion3 series2,for a period of 1 1/2 yrs recently, and as mentioned they do a good job for nearfield applications.unfortunately, they dont provide a basic value for the product due to price nd such.still,if u hv the money,YMMV!!!i would heartily recommend the audioengine's,even the swans for a pc application.much much better i feel.do search the forum for further details.cheers

Also I came to see this model "B&W MM-1" multimedia speakers? Did anyone get any chance to listen to this?

Thanks
