You started differently and ended agreeing that Bose doesn't sound good. What's the point of the first paragraph?
Now, please go back to the 6th post of this thread and you will get the same thing being told that you have discovered during your audition.
And another thing, audiophile is always self proclaimed. My neighbour will not point me out as Audiophile. Only I know how I like to listen to music. We ourself decides whether just the content of music satisfy us or we are finicky about our hardware as well! Whether the quality of music satisfy us or we are finicky about the quality of reproduction as well! Isn't it?
Bose probably spends more on advertising than any other Hi-Fi- brand.
But the most revealing aspect of their marketing is that none of their ads ever appear in Hi-Fi magazines - it's all in the Lifestyle and General Interest publications only. Their target audience is people who couldn't care less about the minutiae or technicalities of music systems, and who are not into serious listening. Those who are decorating their living room or setting up a home theatre, and need to buy something quick without putting too much thought into it. The Bose brand also has a certain cachet which might impress their like-minded freinds and neighbors.

I agree and even if I started differently, my intention was never to praise Bose. But the way people portraying the criticism is not something I admire. I have told specifically, that not only in this forum , I have experienced this stuff outside of this forum as well. I personally know a very young guy, after going trough hfv multiple times, tried to convince his father standing at the Bose showroom itself that how bad is their product. Ultimately ended in bad brawl for which a police diary has been avoided in the last second when the poor father has finally bought a iPod doc just to suppress his son's idiotic behavior. So thats why , I think it should not be a style to reject Bose just to show the audience what a big critic I am of music and shound. And I dont know whether you will agree or not , I have seen, felt and experienced it multiple times.

Again , my intention was not to hurt somebody's perception. I have learned a hell lots of things from this thread and have a great respect to every one associated with it.

So thats why , I think it should not be a style to reject Bose just to show the audience what a big critic I am of music and shound. And I dont know whether you will agree or not , I have seen, felt and experienced it multiple times.

Why do you think people criticise Bose to show what a big critic I am? Why do you think people don't boost their understanding by criticising B&W, Dynaudio, MA, CA, Marantz, MS, Symphonic Line etc etc?
I do like your post. I just tend to avoid if I don't like something. I put my point when I find interest in some conversation. So, don't think this is a heated conversation. This is just a casual discussion. We are both from Kolkata, who knows we may meet some day
Confession : An intimate member of my family is the Regional Manager for Eastern India for Bose. And yet I do not like most of their products, I am not allowed to say this out loud if I wish to survive (you people understand) ! 
When Bose stepped in to Kolkata, I was young and had never heard anything of that quality before. Yes, for an average individual they do signify quality. But over the years I have listened more, learned more and can say 'trained' my ears. Now Bose falls short of my expectation by quite a margin sometimes. But that is not to say they do not make good products, their Companion series C3 were pretty good computer speakers.
My take on Bose is this, they make products for those who do not bother about details, and specifications and look for instant gratification. You and I both know that this particular category outnumber us by 99 to 1. So Bose thrives on this market, whats wrong in that? Nothing ! They have a market in mind and cater to that, it is another matter that we do not like them. We are free no to !
I can truly say though that my Yamaha entry level AVR and Sonodyne bookshelves fare better music wise than there much over-hyped and overpriced offerings.

Nothing wrong in targetting a particular category of buyer. Philips, LG, Samsung all do that. No one is complaining. Wrong is when you sell thumps up for the price of 100 years old fine wine.
Just another view ..for folks who do not really understand what fine wine's taste, colour and aroma is all about (ie 95% of the population).. highly priced Thumbs up could be seen as more VFM than fine wine
. many dont know what they are missing of which some may have the willingness to get educated but the others just dont care

Coming to fine wines, just remember that more than 99% folks fail to distinguish between a top tier product and average product in blind tests and that includes some professionals too. So, make your own conclusions !
P.S. - I own portable speakers by Bose and towers by its competitors - both have served me with distinction over the years.

There is lot of other companies have good quality of sound, Bose is not only the HiEnd Speaker there are similar type of speaker like Mirage Mx Speakers 5.1(world first smallest subwoofer) have fabulous sound and i also have experience of Elac Aniversery Speaker system made from Germany have unbelievable sound If you do not lesson this speaker system then you don'n comment on this company sound engineer, They also done good job. And as per price and brand value, Bose have done lot of marketing here that's way people know this brand.And other they do not.:clapping:
..And it is for the 1% who can feel the difference and yearn for more (or want to) who become audiophiles..the rest enjoy music as as.

So YOU are confident that you can take "wine test" and tell the difference?
Wine is too complex - that is my opinion about after trying to study the matter. Also in India many people are not exposed to wine on daily basis so some of Indian "experts" knowledge is "highly doubtful" IMHO.
BTW I do not like wine - so NOT an expert.
On Contrary , I found their Entry level Bookshelf speaker ( i think it is arond 12K ) is really value for money
1) It soulds good ( OK ) with most of the source
2) I dont know if there is a good book shelf at this price .
3) You dont have to be at the sweet spot , good for easy listening.
4) Not harsh or Bright ( I have heard much expensive speakers which are burght , and for me that is a deal-breaker )

Lol no, I can't. Actually don't know whether I can or not. I never tested any type of hard drinks.
Now the reason for my saying is if a professional can't differentiate between high end and low end of a product how come he is an expert?
