After scouting for a TV which would work for me for next 4-5 years, I had shortlisted Samsung, Sony and LG 32". LG was soon out of contention as I felt that normal SD feed is not rendered clearly in it as compared to Sony and Samsung.
Had a feeling that the picture quality of Samsung was a tad better than that of Sony's while the sound quality of Sony was a tad better than that of Samsung's. As I was anyway planning to go for a Home Theater system in due course, I narrowed down to Samsung 32".
Series 5 and Series 6 were in my range. However, I felt that the difference between series 5 and series 6 was not worth the increase in cost. In any case, the internet capabilities of series 6 are rudimentary and it would be better handled by a set top box like Google TV.
As I had already planned to buy a Home Theater I settled down for C530 instead of C550.
Thankfully, I had landed on this site through Google and it brought to my notice various issues like Samsung Panel Lottery, demo LCD along with the pricing points. Aimed with this knowledge, I forced the dealer to bring a new piece from a godown and with a SQ panel.
Further, the price thread helped as I bought it for Rs 33,500 in Gurgaon when one of my friends had bought it for Rs 35,000 a week back and Ezone was sellingit for Rs 37,900.
Currently, waiting for the engineer to come and install the TV. I was wondering if we have to pay for installation or is it included in the price?
