Hello Guys,
I’m in the process of building a personal home theater PC, separate from the main setup I built two years ago in the living room. I have a seperate work room, I call my personal studio, Since I recently upgraded my Denon X3700H to the X4800H, I decided to utilise the X3700H by connecting it to my gaming PC. I paired it with a set of DALI Oberon 3 bookshelf speakers and a REL T5x subwoofer, creating a 2.1 stereo music setup and so far, I’m elated with it.
Now, I’m planning to expand this into a 5.1.2 atmos system. I am confused in choosing the right rear surround speakers, since I don’t have much space for large or heavy units near the back-wall. I’d prefer compact surround speakers, for atmos I am thinking a pair of SVS Prime Elevations placed above my seating position either on the side walls or mounted directly to the vaulted ceiling.
So far, I’ve shortlisted the following options:
MY ROOM SIZE IS APPROX 7.5x16 ft

Along this journey, I’ve learned a lot with plenty of hiccups, successes, and failures. It has been an incredible experience and a rewarding journey as a home theater enthusiast, and my thanks goes to the community and member of this forum. You guys have helped me a lot.

So far, I’ve shortlisted the following options:
- Rear Surround: Polk ES15 (compact size) or Q Acoustics 3010i (also, I’m bit confused about the rear speaker placement, since my back wall is little congested, the right side has a mounted bookshelf, while the left side has a door opening)
- Atmos: SVS Prime Elevation or another pair of compact bookshelf speakers mounted on the ceiling
