Hi while measuring speakers i find depression between (appx 15db) 1 khz - 3 khz. Volume level 10oclock. Amp yamaha RX 496 stereo amp. I tried combination of drivers, CO etc. Only depth of depression changes. But when i measure spkr at high volume it's depth get reduced. In this context I hav following doubts:
1 Are amp designed to play mids soft at low volume to make extreme hi-low audiable? Then gradually raising wrt volume like loud switch.
2 Amp may be playing freq non linearly but i am blaming speakers
3 How to check above point. Is there something called amp freq callibration which will ensure all freq comming out equally?
4 Where i can do callibration in Hyderabad ?

Besides speakers and amplifier, this phenomena is more likely to be caused by interaction of sound waves with surroundings i.e. your listening room. Reflections and absorption of sound unevenly strengthen or weaken different frequencies resulting in dip as in your case.
