Hi Folks,

I am a newbie in Hifi world and need your expert advice for a 2.0 audiophile setup with a budget of 10-15K.
My usage will be :
Music -60%
Movies -40%

My main requirement is room filling sound that should have utmost detail and not be harsh to listen for long hours.

I have narrowed down to below options:
CA S30 + Norge 2030 Amp
Swans D1080MKII 08 (Active Bookshelf so dont need amp)

Please suggest which of the above setup will better suit my purpose or
if there is any better option.

I will be basing my decision on you advice as I don't see any option of audition in my area.

Thanks

CA-S30 is very good speakers, but can not give you fine details.Bass is good & a bit deep considering the size, treble is little rolled of at top. They are certainly enjoyable.

Thanks Spiro.
Does someone have any experience with the Swans?
Please provide your invaluable suggestions.

CA S30 will certainly meet this requirement. For movies, you might find them a bit lacking in thump (esp for action films).

Dear Sanjeev,

Swan D1080MKII 08 is good speaker but Swan D1080-IV is better speaker. It has an extremely good bass response because Swan have incorporated the mid-bass driver of Swan M200MKIII into Swan D1080-IV so it definitely has an excellent bass response along with rich creamy mid-range(not thin mid-range at all) with smooth treble response.

For excellent sound that won't break the bank, the 5 Star Award Winning Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 Bookshelf Speakers is the one to consider!
