Yeah, it’s difficult to undo audiophilia. But I try and balance it with love for music. That helps.

I strongly believe that since our love for music made us an audiophile; some day this very love will only pull us out of this ordeal.
There is a distinction.
I believe the vast majority of people would say they are music lovers but relatively few would say they are audiophiles.
I was not aware of the term “Audiophile “ till a decade ago.
