Cheap Oscilloscope

I had wanted to get a cheap scope for troubleshooting, but was advised to save up for a good standalone scope instead of buying a PC based instrument

I'm seeing some HTC branded instruments available online for 7-8K - I know they sound too good to be true, but does anyone have any experience with them?

Try Paras Electronics, they have some decent refurbished scopes with warranty
(brands like Tektronix, Hp, Philips)
Had bought one some time back.
