Cheating in TS HD; Drop channel in their site does not work; 1 yr HD offer stoped

Hi All,

I was one of first Tata Sky HD customer in Bangalore. I took TS HD connection for FIFA WC in June 2010. When TS HD launched, they had 1 year HD channel offer.

Today I found, I have been charged for HD channel after 2 months of usage and for ESPN/star Sports channel from Aug 2010

I took ESPN/Star sports channel for FIFA WC & used thier website customer support option Channel/Package --> Drop Sports Package & asked them to drop sports package. (This option stills present in thier site )

Today I was put on Customer support Team Lead Mr Girish, who lied there is no option to drop channels in website. Initially customer support person told HD offer was only for 2 months, but Girish told 1 year package was only during limited time. But he not able tell for whom 1 year offer applied.

@nags_ca: From what I know (and I've been using TS since their launch now) is that they have never ever had the drop package option on their website. I had even complained about this and one of the middle management person had sheepishly admitted that they did not want the drop package to be so simple for the users and would rather have them call the CC up!!

@kneo: I have attached image to drop sports package.(But if you select this option, it says no optional package to drop even though you have STAR/ESPN ). This is somewhat misleading

Well as per their advertisement existing TS subscribers were entitled to 1 year of HD gold pack free further a new subscriber was to get 2 months HD pack free.
