Hi All,
As my activity on this forum shows that I am partially baked ( not even half - lesser) :D;) audio enthu.
Now my question is
How suitable a Installation - Studio amp is good for home use
I am referring Inter-M R-500 Referance Amplifier.
There are chances that demo piece I'll get for cheap
I am attaching it's manual.
Now it is Inter-M Korean brand I never heard.
What I find that this powe amp has impressive powerr specs

Stereo 8?, 1kHz (per channel)- 170W

Stereo 4?, 1kHz (per channel)- 250W

Bridged Mono 8?, 1kHz500W

Frequency Response ( 0.5dB)

also it's manual describes -

High Performance Monitor Amp
Studio quality monitor amp provides clean sound for the studio, conference room, concert hall and commercial installations.

I'll get only a brief audition

Now my questions are

1) Worth buying at 7.5-8.5 K?
2) Any forum member's expereinces?
3) Any expereinces of the brand Inter-M

I'll be using either Pulz pre or sansui reote controlled equalizer as pre ( It has volume control ansd source attachments)
Speakers will be Solid ( another brand of B&W) Sat- Sub & I am planning floorstanders
Source 1) Pioneer 100 CD Changer 2) Teac CD Player 3) i Pod

SO YOUR VIEWS EXPECTED BUDDIES!!!

Thanks in advance,
Hemant

i used a yamaha p2000s pro power amp on my setup initially. used it with a) yamaha mixer and b) nad pre amp. it had the power but apart from that nothing. didnt have the range and was muddy throughout, wasnt musical at all, bass was flabby. i wouldnt recommend a pro amp for home use

For excellent sound that won't break the bank, the 5 Star Award Winning Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 Bookshelf Speakers is the one to consider!
