Comparison KEF Q700 and MARX6

Hi All,

Need your opinion, anyone heard both of them?

1. Is MA RX6 bright or warm compared to KEF Q700
2. Also please post if someone got better price. I received 73K for KEF(Recent) and 83K for MA RX6(Some time back) pair.

i have auditioned
Paradigm Monitor 7 - Bright
Dali - Warm but too warm/dead for movie/action
Wharfedale 9.5 - Little on bright side
KEF - Warm and first one i liked.
I agree that Bright thing could be due to many reasons, but that's the problem how do you know it and in India its not easy to get audition of perfect combination.

Bright is not my taste, cant stand it for a minute.

Marx6 is definitely brighter than kef q700...q700 is more of a fun party kinda speaker! !...I have heard the q900 5.1 on a denon amp...wickeddd

I own KEF iQ7 (2 versions before Q700). For me, KEFs are slightly towards the brighter side, but not too harsh, with mediocre low end. I am using iQ7 with Denon AVR. AVR might be the culprit for mediocre low end. I am planning to get a stereo amp for my KEFs.

However, KEF scores with the sweet mid range and not too harsh highs.

If ur taste tilts more towards movies, i would suggest you to try the polk audio RtiA7 and wharfedale 10.6. Also the psb T6 though im not too sure of its pricing.

Did you buy the stereo amp? How do your iQ7s sound with it? Has low frequency performance improved?

the ma rx6 will play well neutral to warm, depending on your amplifier. it doesnt handle bright amplifiers too well.
