Yesterday I was at a concert run by TIMES group where in the famous Bollywood singer and one of the favorite singers for AR rehman Mr Javed ali sang quite a few songs.

It was open air in Qutub shah tombs near golkonda.

It was a awesome experiance.

Earlier I had attended one other one indoors with a big hall.

The open air vs closed hall the difference of the SQ is huge. Open air sounds very nice.

Earlier today I tried to play the same songs which Mr Javed sang in my music room. I could feel that the same songs were delivered right in my face.

I see following issues here.

1. Room sizes are small compared to 150 to 300 ft in the open air theaters.

2. Compounding the placement of the speakers are the reflections from the walls which are bound to cause issues to your ears.

3. I am not sure how good the quality of the professional equipment but I felt nice want to go again if given a chance.

Your opinions and experiences are appreciated.

Thanks

Nothing comes close to the experience of a live metal/rock concert in a large open ground. No music system in the world can match the physical impact produced by a live show.

My spine still tingles when I think of Metallica's show in Bangalore.
