I demoed the 3400 at one of the Reliance Digital Outlets. A lot of good things are said about the 3400, I somehow however found it to be wanting. They played a clip from 2012 with all its exploding madness all around. I could feel the surround sound and sounds from different directions but somehow felt that details were lacking. The information in the sound was not adequate, the subwoofer lacked the 'weight' to make it a proper experience.
Now this could very well be due to lack of proper set up and calibration, as mostly the people in the shop know very little of such systems.
