Confused between LG 42LA 6910 & Sony 42W 800

Sorry guys for late reply been busy with work.. anyways.. as said before i got LG 42 LA6910

Its almost 2 months now.. Can't say enough good things about this TV. Image quality is awesome. Amazing sound quality (Specially - Clear voice and Sub Woofer). The remote is great. The smart TV apps work very well. OS is bit laggy sometimes, not many apps to download. 3D World - Useless.

I was worried about brightness ( MY MAIN CONCERN) but let me tell you.. not for a minute i felt that picture is dull.. its very bright. (YES)
Using Default Picture Mode and manually reduced brightness.

BLUR? Not at all.. Super smooth picture.. Soap opera effect - Just love it

Yesterday I got LG LA6910 42" .
I had the same dilemma in selecting the LG when compared to Sony. But I liked the 3D in LG. And didnt feel that much difference in the PQ when compared to the Sony. But as everyone says,its not upto sony.
And I got LG for 67500 and for Sony it was 67900. I think for 67500 LG6910 is a great deal it seems.Its the best price that I could I believe and with LG scratch card offers. from Nandilath ,Cochin.

I think w800 is also a passive 3d set.
I am surprised that lg passive 3d is better than sony's.
Anyways , if people are not so conscious about a little difference in 3d performance which I seriously doubt, one should go with w800 for 400 rs more.

LG starts off into 2013 with its latest models getting poor reviews.
The worst part of the range is the 42la740v which gains a poor 3 star in whathifi review.
Lack of subtlety and unnatural colors .
I would definetly stay away from the LG in 2013.
LG appears to live to its reputation again.
Life is good. But picture is bad.

May be few models are not good in LG 2013 but not all.
How about you compare SONY W800 with W950? I think you got your answer.

Sony 2012 models are far better than 2013 models. HX750 is better than W800.
Only advantage over HX Series is Passive 3D.

Except Sony W900 series this year all other models are not so good.

2 days back went to couple of stores to checkout Bluray Players.. i just had a glance at these models again.
W800 looks good as always but wait LG is not the one im using.. NO not at all.. They mess up with settings that makes Picture look blur and less brightness.
Im quite sure that's not the brightness i am seeing in my HOME or the colors.

MOST OF THE LG TV'S ARE SET TO ECO MODE.. I HAVE NOTICED DEFAULT ECO MODE SETTINGS SUFFER LOT OF BLUR.
SO FAR I HAVE NOT NOTICED ANY INPUT LAG..

I am using LG LA6910 i did not notice any sort of blur, liquid sooth picture. Exceptional PQ. Awesome sound.

LG 2013 Lineup is far better than their 2012 models. 5 months back i was about to buy LM6410 but i was not pleased with its PQ and really dull screen. I almost went for HX750 but sales guy told me that new models are releasing in a month.

LG LA6910 AND LA6200 are the among the best selling TV's this year. After all LG is the second largest TV manufacturer in the world. Hmm how about SONY?

Hmm. I think there is no competition for 900 in terms of led. Though a sammy 7 series and 8 series would come very close.
But enter plasma, and I think F8500 would be a deadly competition.

YEAH VERY MUCH, its the onam offer in kerala and that too after a lot of bargaining.and that too with LG scratch card where there is an assured cashback and also there is an offer from the dealer as well.

Try Bajaj electronics madhapur. I found them willing to negotiate the price far easily than others.

I think then its better to get it from kerala , here its 67900 for W800. If you happen to get any chance to get it from kerala , do get it from Cochin , nandilath. There you can get it for this price and that too with a headphone worth 12990(sony) with this tv.
