The amp has two sets of loudspeaker terminals- A main and B secondary switchable.

This lets me connect all 4 speakers together or use them in separate rooms too if i so desire.

If you have money to buy 2 different speakers, why not combine that money to buy one mindblowing pair of speakers ?

It is not like you can play different music on different sets of speakers. Even if you place second pair of speakers in another room, you get the same music out of it. The stereo amps do not have zone 2 functionality. So why do you need 2 pairs of speakers ?

I was actually looking for putting the other two bookshelf speakers in my bedroom.... but i'm really happy with my floorstanding speakers now! I'll just get a subwoofer instead!

Every month I have kept aside a budget I cant overstep the budget for this month now.... but i'll keep adding a few things as i go along..... i'm just gonna get a pioneer BDP 440 today....no one else has suggested anything else to me..... so i'll just go ahead and pick this one up.... thanks grunthos....ur really nice and helpful mate! thumbs up!

already bought the Polk TSX440 and the CA amplifier my friend.... also got the pioneer BDP440 player.....

One problem im facing now..... when i play my usb directly from the tv.... the colours are very nice and the video is generally lovely..... BUT when i play the same usb and the same video into the pioneer blueray player..... the video is terrible.... i mean the quality on the screen is really really bad! how is that possible?? I have reset my player to factory settings..... please help!

I have the BDP-450 and it's playback is awesome. I think you have to check with the video settings - check for the video resolution set on the player.

Damn i knew what i did wrong! I connected my pioneer BDP with hdmi to the MHL hdmi port on the tv.... thats why it was giving me bad video!

Now the trouble is..... i have only two hdmi ports on the tv.... out of which one is MHL and ineed one for my tata sky and one for my BDP..... i'm stuck again!

Now back to serious business.... i played around with the audio settings and everything is fixed! yay!! i am happy! My speakers sound great.... now im looking to get a few blurays..... any help with that?

I hear good bass in my Pioneer BS-22 when used as Fronts compared to Pioneer FS-52 with my Yamaha AVR (HTR-3066). What can be the reason for this ?

I keep my hand at the back where the Bass is felt in terms of forceful air coming out of the duct. While this is evident in my bookshelves I hardly feel any air coming out in my Floor standing?

Is it because my AVR is not powerful or something else. Please guide.

Floor standers have much bigger column, so it may be that the pressure dissipates before exiting the duct.

Power issue seems to be the more obvious reason here. I had similar experience driving my Aviano 6 with Denon 1911 AVR and only after using AZUR 650A stereo amp later on the bass / lows significantly improved including the air exist from rear ports of course
