my query is that can i buy an av receiver like yamaha rx- v373 or onkyo
tx-sr313 and connect my 5.1 speaker with it .. will it work fine..
please help

if they are of 6 ohms then you can definitely attach these speakers with 373 or onkyo sr 313. you can even attach 4 ohms speakers but be sure not to cross the volume beyond safe limits. Also please tell us whether the sub woofer is passive or powered one. If it's passive then with 373/Sr313 you'll have to either go for new sub woofer or in lesser cost you can attach sub woofer amp kit to make your existing sub powered one like what I did with my passive sub. In fact I have done the same thing. I bought Yamaha 473 and attached it to my old Sony HT speakers, with it's passive sub I attached sub woofer amp kit and turned it into powered sub and hell I have now complete 5.1 system without purchasing new speakers package. Although in future I'll definitely go for new speakers when budget permits.
