I am re-assembling the preamp on a temp wooden chassis while I decide on the final chassis build.
Earlier I had the wiring like this
Live --> IEC Socket (3 pin panel mount) --> Transformer Live wire
Neutral --> Socket --> Fuse --> Power Switch --> Transformer Neutral wire
I am wondering if I can connect is like this instead?
Live --> Socket --> Fuse --> Power Switch --> Transformer Live wire
Neutral --> Socket --> Transformer Neutral wire
What are the pros and cons of either?
PS: Also where can I get standard grounding lugs to connect chassis to Earthing pin of socket? I observed increased hum earlier with it so was not using earth connection ( that took care of it).
