Congrats on your purchase Arjun. How do you rate the sound difference between Dali and Polk? Did you try connecting Polk 400 to Marantz?
If your Polk FS are available, I am interested to pick it from Bangalore.

I did connected the Polk with marantz. Initially i just swapped the receivers for few days.


Denon with Polk

Music - average

Movie - not bad ( for the price)

Marantz with Polk

Music - not bad

Movies - Nice

Marantz with Dali

Music - mind blowing ( feedback from friends )

Movies - Awesome ! ( I liked it & justified the amount i spend on it) :yahoo:


Music - all flac

Eagles - Hotel California

Boney m - Rasputin

MJ- They don't really care about us

My current amp is Yamaha 475 connected to Bookshelves from my older Aiwa HT setup.
My usage is 80% music and 20% movies. I had auditioned Tsi400 at ProFX with Denon Amp (I believe it was 1612) and I found it a major upgrade in terms of SQ.
Being a newbie here, is there any other way I could contact you since I am not entitled to PMs.

Wow you went the whole hog - got Marantz + Zensor 7? That's something I wanted to do as well - either Marantz or Cambridge Audio. But both are significantly more costly than comparable Denons - and was coming somewhat over my already-stretched-budget. Hence I took the Denon X1000. Maybe in a couple of years if I decide to scale up to 5.1, I will revisit the AVR too.

Yep. Initial thinking was just to upgrade the AVR. but after the second audition @ DNI. I changed my mind and upgraded the speakers as well.
