Hi,

Yesterday i had the opportunity to listen to the dimunitive dali Mentor Menuets at Imperial Audio in Fort, Mumbai coupled to a Sim Audio CDP and Arcam FMJ A19 amp ( 50W )

Me thinks this is one helluva option for folks looking for speakers in this category.

The vocals were hugely well defined and my ears could not help but love them. Dont was an overdose of adjectives here..

The highs were sweet and never too sharp.

They sound bigger than they are and yes - disappear.

Very well constructed too and look very right.

Dont expect the slam and dynamics of larger floorstanders ( but thats there too.. its not lacking ) or for it to fill a 400 sq ft room..

The is the other speaker apart from Amphion 410 which ( i think ) will want people to listen.

The MRP is approx 85k for these "little masters"

Do have a listen to the Mentor menuets.. i think they will be worth your time.

:clapping:

^^ and to shell out 85K for this little an effort !!:p

before playing it.. i held the pair in my hands and had the same feeling.

but once it started playing.. it was a different story altogether.

i think this is the only dali speaker w/o the ribbon tweeter - kind of un-dali.

.... when possible atleast give it a listen.

I mean it.. it wont be a waste of time ( you may not buy it ultimately but it will give you a taste of good enjoyable refined fun music... it plays a lot of genres darn well.. i was surprised with the amount of bass it could generate on "kraftwerk" - electronic music. )

I am not too good at reviews.. the only reason i started this thread was i wanted more folks to hear this kind of fun speaker.
