Yes the mentor menuet is the only Dali speaker that i care about. I do not like anything else in their entire product line up.

Take your amp to the dealers..

Audition with your ears and choose one amongst the 2 contenders and declare the outcome here.

even better get the speakers to your listening room if the dealer allows. This way chances of erring will be minimized. I believe for any product over 1L it should be the practice. You cannot risk buying a junk at these price.

I gave you a pretty close first hand comparison but final decision can only be made if you take your amp to the dealer and demo side by side because auditioning 2 or more products in the same setup and environment is very important.
Otherwise you'll only get confused because of people having different likes and dislikes.

Hari sir,
we have to be living in the US or any European country to get such thing happen. Leave alone bringing home for audition, our hifi dealers would try to avoid demo ing even in their showrooms. Here in Kochi, dealers are very happy if we buy hifi without auditioning.

Yes, i fully agree on the auditioning part. It happened with me last month when i went to a local dealer (Soundtech, Thane) as i was visiting the mall for buying garments. The moment the salesman came to know that i was not going to be a buyer he became more indifferent to me. I just heard the psb towers and the Dali Flacon for maybe 15 minutes. BTW, i found the psb tower to be better than the Dali in terms of smoothness and whole 1L lower in price too.

I went to listen zensor 3 and 7 with my jolida 1501 tube amp and maveric d2 dac. Voice is not clear and sweet.i did not feel the original bass. I dont know which speakers cable they used. Rca cable are mogami.

Or an award of what Hifi
Has no meaning

They are bought most of the time
What hi if ratings are no way to judge equipment

Stereophile is a better judge by miles
Though every pro review outfit always do have their own cakes to bake

Hear the speaker
Or trust a knowledgeable person
More than a what hi if review


And please do get over the notion
That front ported speKers have no placement hassles and can be pushed against a wall

And budget stuff being dumped down the consumers throat
Without exposing him to something better

Magma is right.recently i have audition one speakers which is unkown brand to me.its very good speakers.there is no reviews and no 5 star any where.

I am using KEF Q300 with NAD 326BEE and CA DAC Magic and very much satisfied with them. It beats Dali , Warfdale floor standers hands down when I was auditioning . For the price only B&W and PSB could be compared to KEF bookshelf . The bass is deep and plenty for a bookshelf. mid range and vocals is one of the best part and highs unless pushed up from Amp is clear and detailed and not fatigue.
You should be able to chose between Dali and KEF with eyes closed. Leave the website review.

How much you paid for KEF Q300 if i wanna decide within my budget approx 1.25 lac out of which SVS sub is fixed then how KEF Q300 will be worth + which surrounds ?
