It seems to me that your are building stereo (2-Channel) setup and primary use will be music, of course you can enjoy movies too but not surround sound formats like DD, DTS, etc.
First of all, Dali Z1 are excellent small bookshelf speakers, can be used in stereo as well as home theatre setup at different channel position depending on personal preference.
To pair with, you need either stereo amplifier or AV receiver.
If you are quite certain about MUSIC and wants nothing but holistic musical setup then nothing is better than stereo setup, and you should go for stereo amplifier. I like sound signature of Marantz with Zali, nice and balanced setup.
Speakers = approx. 21K
Pm5005 = approx. 27K
Cables and interconnects = 1 to 2 K
Here is another aspect, if you enjoy movies as well then AV receiver is another option for you. You can setup 5.1 (or more) HT setup later if you look to use AVR. Some find music (stereo) output quite close to dedicated stereo from AVRs but its highly subjective and depends on your taste and listening.
The point is AVR can give you more value for your money, if you are not so critical and sensitive music listener.
More than any other suggestion, most critical is to experience yourself the sound of the setup. Do audition.
