Finally finished the dayton speaker project i have been doing, the speaker is nothing short of mindblowing. Sound is clean with no harshness clear treble, punchy base and nice clear mids, the sound that comes out of this relatively small speaker is huge and unbelievable.Best thing is that the design is simple and you don't need expert knowledge of electronics to build the needle.I have heard speakers from monitor audio, polk, pioneer and none of them comes close to the audio fidelity of the needle. It has a Dayton rs100 full range reference woofer and cabinet is made up of plywood with cotton stuffed. The bass is really nice and i have not felt the need to turn on the subwoofer, it's possible to get the speaker to it's limits if you play it too loud, the small dayton 4 inch drivers has it's limits.I have always been a fan of speakers that sounds big in a small package and i am extremely proud of the Needle.
