Thanks. Called them. They routed it to Thump @ Atria mall worli. But they do not have it. They have Act 2 from Energy which is out of budget.

Called up eZone @ suburbs. They are having 1 1/2 yr old demo piece which they are giving @ 19.5K. With 1 yr warranty from the day u buy it. But I won't go for demo piece.

Well if the condition is good why not take it for 30% less than quoted .. look at the brightside you can buy some more gadgets with that money.

I am yet to see the piece. The offer they made to me over the phone. That too they are arranging it from some other shop.

I am not sure if 1611 can drive the RTI A5s that are on sale from forum member manu4punjab .... But they are nice speakers and the price quoted is decent..... Check out......

BTW, I was a noob when got down to buying the speakers around 8-9 months ago. Now, as far as satellites go, am NO MORE a noob. So, if you are looking for an 'informed' suggestion, here it is ....

I shan't call this a risk, but an extremely efficient and VFM combination from ALL perspectives. I have been giving it a serious thought, but due to no-use at my end am not implementing the same.

Why don't you guys try this combo .......

Front left and right speakers ... JBL Control 1 ... price @ 6.5 k/pair
Rear left and right speakers .... JBL Control 1 .... price @ 6.5 k /pair
Centre speaker ... 3 way JBL again .... price @ 10-12 k
Select a rip roaring subwoofer later (if you don't have budget now) from ... HSU / Velodyne / SVS .. check price, should be @ 40 k.

The above can and WILL fill any room @ upto 300 sq ft. without stressing the AVR by much.

Am very impressed with the JBL Control 1 speakers. Using it currently with a Topping TP20.

I auditioned Energy RC Micro 5.1. Very neat, compact and sounded good too but out of my range. Best price offered was 40K.
