I have my 2nd TV installed in my dining area essentially to hear the news channels. This 32 inch LCD TV is wall mounted.
The problem I had been facing was that the TV speakers were hardly clearly audible even when the volume was pumped up. The use of this TV is so less that it is an overkill to use additional speakers. The issue with these TVs is that they use small down firing speakers .
After some experimentation I finalised on some deflectors. The vocal frequencies are clearly audible now at normal volume.
The "ears" are some waste packing supports that I used here.
