I have a query on the up-scaling feature of the Denon 1911. I have connected my blue ray player via the Denon 1911 via a HDMI connection, as well as my HD set top box via HDMI through the 1911.

Although both SD and DVDs look definitely clearer my query is does Denon does the upscale automatically, because I dont see any option in the Menu where I can toggle the receiver to either up-scale or not too.

Appreciate any advise.

For any Denon-related query, I would strongly suggest BatPig's Denon-to-English Dictionary. It is an excellent resource for Denon AVR owners.

Here's the link for proper setup of your Denon AVR. Just click on the link for video processing options and follow the given instructions.

Thanks I did read batpigworld before posting my query. He talks about the I/P scaler option wherin one can switch on and off, but I am unable to see that on my menu.

Any 1911 user who can advise.

Spiderman.

Hii,

firstly press "source select" then "menu" then out of the options which will appear select "input adjust" you will get the I/P scaler functions wether from analogue or Hdmi source. You can switch on or off them. Switch off means passthrough. Scaling can be done depending upon the HD calliber of your TV i.e 720 p or 1080.

cheers

I do not have a 1911, but a 1910. I suppose the menu structure has not changed a whole lot during the upgrade. On my system, I find the scaler parameters in Menu/Input Setup/Video.

Thanks for the guidance managed to get into the I/P Scaler function. In the source select I was not selecting "Blue Ray" hence it was not letting me see the option.
