I want to purchase Denon AVC x3800 amp. Suggest me floor stand, center, sub, surround, height speakers.
Also I am going to buy it from AVshack Delhi.

Why don’t you do it the other way - choose the speakers first as they should take a larger part of your budget, and will last longer than the electronics. Speakers will also play a bigger role in the sound of your system than an AVR.

Actually there isn’t much choice in AVRs in India for the Denon 3800 model given price and features. Its own Marantz counterpart will cost more than double. Hence starting with AVR is a good idea. It has pre outs and can handle difficult speakers through power amps if required.

I disagree. You can get a pre owned AVR and wait for example for the x3900 which will be around the corner.

And anyway as I said it’s not about just being able to drive speakers - it’s about sound signature, and what config the OP wants. If he’s looking for just a 5.1.2, then a 7 channel AVR makes more sense, or a lower powered 9 channel like the Onkyo 7100. If you buy sensitive speakers, you’ll need less power but the OP may prefer the sound of speakers that are less sensitive and need more power, where a power amp is a must and then something like the Marantz Cinema 70 even that has preouts for a power amp may make more sense.

TLDR; IMHO audition different speakers to see which you like, choose your config ( 5.1, 7.1, 5.1.2 etc ) then choose your AVR
