Denon x1200 vs yamaha rxv479 vs pio 830k

Yamaha 479 will be suitable for music+ movies.
Demon x1200 if movies only. The musical performance may not be convincing in x1200. x1200 is more feature rich with 7.2 and Atmos enabled and DTS-X upgrade. RX-v479 is not Atmos and 5.1. You will find wider Yamaha service support than denon. Both the models are good and many FMs are using them. So weigh all the factors and decide. Demo is also important to zero in.

Suggest op to wait for new series of yamaha which will have atmos/dts-x. August end should be the tentative arrival of the same.

I am happily using my Yamaha since last 3 years but other brands are also very good so it all depends on what kind of sound signature you like. First of have a demo of 3-4 brands with different speakers then decide.

i just spoke to a distributor, yamaha rxv479 is available for 34.5k. i think its really good value for that much money. from all the reviews i have read its a well balanced reliever which can handle both music and movies

34.5 k for yamaha 479 is indeed a good price. Online or through dealer it was in 40k range when I was searching for it
