Device to Stream TV to android phone

Hi,

I have a Tata Sky HD+ connection at home and want to stream my TV for access remotely using my android phone/tablet.

I'm not looking for a complete media center (just streaming of Tata Sky to another device).

Is there any solution other than Slingbox (which is a bit expensive)?

why complicate things by watching tv on mobile phone and spending bandwidth cost? nevertheless easier would be to watch live streaming sites instead. If your requirement on-the-go is for car then better get mobile edition of d2h like Dish Tv offers which can be installed on cars as well.

But there are times when I want to watch TV remotely - either in a different room in the house or in a different location altogether. I'm looking for an option for the same. On the streaming sites, are there any that provide most common TV channels (such as sports) live (legally)?

On a side note, I see u have a 50V20. I have a 50VT20 and am a bit annoyed with the 50Hz bug with Tata Sky. Do you use a DTH and does yours provide a 60Hz output option (Videocon D2H does)? If so, could you confirm if the 50Hz bug doesn't manifest itself when you choose the 60Hz output option?
