Very sad news. An eternal legend of the game with that 'hand of God' goal in the 1986 world cup. May his soul RIP.

My first and last football hero who made me a fan of the game in the 1986 world cup when I first started following football for the first time ever at a very young age. RIP.

Very sad news for football fans. RIP Diego Maradona.

Can't forget his tears in 1990 WC loss to Germany.

Remember watching him from the time he was a teenager. Some of his play was truly breathtaking. They had to man mark him with two players.

Back in the 70's and 80's defenders were allowed to make very strong challenges. Only way to stop him was to hack him down so consequently he suffered many brutal challenges. Nevertheless he still managed to run circles around defenders and scored many amazing goals.

Lucky to have lived in same era and watch him play, not sure there will be another like him. Sad day indeed :(
