Discrete Dynamics Amplifier:

Tried different layouts/orientation... this one appears to be most proportionate.
Have to plan for an enclosure.

Front: standard 17" width
Depth: 12"

There was a zero hum or hiss with this layout. You can refer the same @hydrovac

Oh the wiring looks different from the 120w version. Would have been nice to have retained the signal connector side by side. Same for the outputs.

Oh looking at the pictures its a single PCB board having both the channels. I was presuming like individual channels are 2 separate boards, hence the size being big. But does not seems to be, then I think cabinet should be good enough.

Best of luck.

Here i am trying to distribute the weight to both sides... will try this orientation to begin with and observe.

Isn't that 30A filter massive overkill? o_O
It sure is keith! at the moment i have this filter only... i can fair exchange it with a lessor current one (10 amps), if anyone is willing to do so.

Yes, Ramesh... it is a standard width cabinet.

The proof of the pudding is in eating. Waiting for the pudding to be cooked. o_O
The pudding started cooking capt!

After a long wait, finally recd the chassis today.

Sorry
I am getting confused

Is this DD integrated amplifier?

I was not aware aniket has made one

Why another transformer near the torrodial?

Now I understand why the rca jacks are close to iec socket :)

looking good let me know what current rated rfi/emi filter do you need instead of that big elcom one.

This is a customized version of DD power amp...
its not a transformer, an EMI/RFI Filter on mains.

Will the invite to taste be while cooking or after it's over. I'm waiting.:)
This broth doesn't need many cooks capt... ;)

You got it... something like 15 Amps should be good enough, to take care of the inrush current.

Let me check if I have any 15a emi filter pcb board and I will ship it to you on my return to India

Thanks Ramesh, time being will use the 30 Amps filter.

Checking the inventory for hook up wires, lugs connectors etc.,
Luckily, have most items to keep the build process rolling.

1.0, 1.5 and 2.5 mm.sq hook up cables.

Spade clips, Lugs and sleeves: (have to locate my crimping tool, must be either at home or in the factory)

Heat shrink sleeves and co-axial signal cable:

Little more progress:

Had to do small alterations to the back panel... the holes for speaker binding posts are round, whereas the isolation washers have to be notched into the mounting surface to prevent rotation of the binding post after installation.

Laser cut round holes:

Had to file it to this shape:

The floating washer fits snugly:
