diy projector

Hi Prosenjit,

First of all congrats to your diy proj.
How much it will cost for diy 720 proj? are u doing diy and selling it.

no i dont sell any parts..
of course i would build you a pj if you would have lived nearby for a 750ml :D only
like i did for the two 7 incher builds...for local friends

but shipping is impossible
i suggest
decide diy or branded
check both pro and con
visit diyprojectorphils,i learned all from there, and they have a parts section .all of my parts are from there...
before any quick decision.....read..read..and read...

for any confusion mail me
if you choose diy
i will guide you step by step..dont worry..you need a good carpentar..and zero electrical skill

for a full hd 1080p diy pj supporting 120 inch...will cost you around 32k...
720p..3000 less..
all LED powered..no bulb change issue..and no maint issue also

to me image quality is ok with both before and after..no heavy difference..
but using bulb is a lot of hassle
1.power consumption
2.fear of blast..................very imp to me
3.alignment is real pain
4.no hot restart like a tv
5.2000 hours life
6.the reflector power is down after a few months..the layer is gets ripped apne aap..slowly..so light output at end is also down..
7.box gets like a furnace..so cooling management pain

on the other hand LED is a matter of initial hi cost..once you fit it..its smoooooooth..
very rough use..less power consumption..etc etc..loooooong life..cold light..no hot box..no cooling planning
and yes pq is better..although as i said i can live with the bulb pq

that maybe due to diff colour temp.
the bulb was 8000 kelvin and this LED is 7000 kelvin
possible anyway

..although it is very difficult to judge except sidewise comparison
