ONIDA DVD HDR-5522 HDMI Display off

Hi!
I have ONIDA dvd player HDR-5522 and use HDMI cable to view the DVDs etc. But while checking out its Setup-Video-HDMI I switched HDMI to OFF. Now there is no display what so ever. So to change the setup settings I tried to view through regular RCA cable but it did not show anything from RCA cable, too. I can hear sound through RCA cable though.
Since the dvd player is out of warranty period I am in jack now

Is there any way I can undo the settings or reset to factory default settings?

Please help.

Hi Shashu,

1) Check the manual for factory default resettings. It should be there.

2) If not if you know anyone else who has the same player, sit with this player and press the same buttons on the remote as the player with the display and try to get back the display.

3) Get the help of the service centre to reset it.

4) I am sure some Mumbai FM will have the same player so you can try step 2.

Hope this helps

Hmmm... great idea Vinod... let me try 2nd option as I don't have the manual anymore.

thanx

Just had another brainwave, try to download a PDF manual of your player so that you can read the PDF and see the way to a factory reset.

I had faced a similar problem earlier and this is what I did.

I got hold of the user manual (you can try downloading it) and then look for the section for changing the display settings. If there are screen shots, follow the screenshots and using them as a guide press the sequence of buttons as required to get to the option to change HDMI display and turn it on. For navigating through menus see the screenshots to determine how many times you need to press the scroll button to reach the desired menu item.

If you use the correct buttons you should be able to turn the display back on without resetting everything.

you can read the PDF and see the way to a factory reset.
