Efficient way for ripping DVDs / Blu Rays

Dear All
I have a large number of DVDs and some Blu-rays which I would like to rip and store them for personal use.
What is an efficient way to rip them?
The DVD writer that I have seems to be very slow in ripping them and now it does not seem to work.

Dear Sir,

Make sure you have a good amount of Ram in your computer, minimum os win7, nero above 12.

Also, change your internal writer with new BD internal writer. Then try for the results.
