Egate P513 my first budget projector

down the line I have to do this for sure elangoas !!! The idea of building a frame flashed when I started thinking what to do next ....:eek:hyeah:

Great..When you decide to do the fabric screen (spandex), let me know, will help you with material..

I was very happy with that rack because it is not visible when the door is opened, and solved the mess with two laptops, bags, and chargers. Now its time to kick it out of this room

:eek:hyeah:

Just a query... is it possible to get 7 or 8 feet wide picture if I place the PJ near to the wall (Screen)?

May be 4 feet away from the screen, and hanging at 3 feet below the ceiling? (I will try this weekend though.. )

Nope.. Not possible.. You can keep it behind your seating position..

What is your depth of the room ?..

OOh... then what I did is right for now...the depth is 12 feet from the front wall to the rear cupboards.

Till I figureout a good way to mount the PJ, i kept it in one of the cupboards.
The below pic is my rear wall... the problem is that entire rear wall is covered with cupboards. And there is a false cieling on top... i have one or two ideas for mounting though.. il post the pics if i succeed.

My ceiling to floor is 9'7".. I used a 4 feet CNCT PJ mount from amazon. in - https://www.amazon.in/CNCT-Universal-Projector-Ceiling-Projectors/dp/B00NEH5S6C/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&qid=1510849477&sr=8-11&keywords=CNCT&th=1

I have maxxed the 4feet height from ceiling and slightly tilted downwards, so that the projection image starts 12 inches of the floor...

Since u have false ceiling, then i think your floor to ceiling height might be 8 feet approx.. You can consider 3 feet mount from CNCT to mount from your false ceiling since you are looking to project image 1.5 ~ 2 feet off the floor..

I saw your pj mount pics in one of your earlier threads :clapping:

I was just wondering if the false cieling can hold the load... i guess it can...

You cannot hang it on false ceiling.. No risk of 20K. Just remove an 1x1 size of tile size in the false ceiling to facilitate fixing the PJ mount in ceiling..then close it later once all set.

The PJ is approx 2 Kgs + 0.5 Kg for mount.. So mounting 2 Kgs on your ceiling shouldn't be an issue..

The mount comes with necessary hardware, though it is for concrete ceiling.. You may just have to replace it with different screw for your false ceiling..

Carpenter/plumber should be able to tell you more..

I found these links in youtube...just sharing in case it helps someone

Those videos are from the grey screen provider, "Bharat AV Solutions", based in Mumbai. I have already shared the details about my discussions with them in my thread here:

Grey screens work best with bright projectors and rooms where the ambient light cannot be fully controlled where as A white screen is best in a projection room with ambient light totally controlled and a projector with a high contrast ratio...
