I finally got rid of my laziness and started my main speakers and second sub build. My carpenter has issues doing round holes and I had to take help of thatguy and rajat. Thank you guys, I really appreciate the help. The holes came out perfect. It was really great to see the workshop and tools rajat has.

The mains use Seas ER18 RNX drivers and the dayton rs28f silk dome tweeters (there is also a version using fountek neo cd3 tweeter for ribbon fans). Design is by dennis murphy and paul kittinger, Same guys that designed most of the salk sound speakers. These can be considered a cheaper version of ht2-tl or a better version of song towers. All these are supposed to sound the same, with some variations in bass and sound clarity depending upon the drivers.

These are MLTL and go down to about 35hz at -3db. Here's link to the original project page - forums.audioholics.com/forums/diy-corner-tips-techniques/68531-new-diy-mtm-towers-designed-dennis-murphy-paul-kittinger.html

The sub is for my desktop system. I am using the tang band 1363SB 8" driver with a fostex plate amp. Amp can do 115w into 4 ohms. The cabinet internal volume is 0.75cuft, its tuned to about 30hz. The external size is 8x15x20, kinda like a pc. i wanted something that i can hide behind my computer desk. As per simulations, it does about -4db at 31hz. I can alter the hpf to go lower, hardly any need though. My room is small and there should be plenty of room gain.

My mobile takes really crappy pics, here's proof of that.

Doors666, so the DIY meet got you in touch with thatguy and rajat! Very nice of them to help you out with the carpentry.
Its great to see more and more TL designs coming up in our community. What plans for the exterior finish?

thanx, i havent decided on that yet. probably some veneer or maybe paint. anyone knows good places for good veneer finish polishes etc. dont want to use that powder stuff.

Not yet, will go check out some veneers tomorrow, thats what waf requires this time. cabs are pretty much done.

Sub is ready. no finish yet. i might try to veneer the sub myself to learn. i can afford mistakes as wifey doesnt care about this as its for my comp system.:)

that gives me some inspiration to do a few things with a pair of nice wavecor tweters i am holding.

yeah, thats a b1. unfortunately i lost the screws for the other knob, so input selector is without that. luckily i dont have to change that much as my pc is the only source. once the new speakers are done, i might move it to the main system.

Yep, what brand and make is that? I cant keep my eyes away from it. :D

the small one is tang band tb1363, an 8" driver.
its diy, the big one uses css sdx15, a 15" driver, and a dayton 550w amp. there was a thread here somewhere, showed the entire construction for this.
