I finally got rid of my laziness and started my main speakers and second sub build. My carpenter has issues doing round holes and I had to take help of thatguy and rajat. Thank you guys, I really appreciate the help. The holes came out perfect. It was really great to see the workshop and tools rajat has.
The mains use Seas ER18 RNX drivers and the dayton rs28f silk dome tweeters (there is also a version using fountek neo cd3 tweeter for ribbon fans). Design is by dennis murphy and paul kittinger, Same guys that designed most of the salk sound speakers. These can be considered a cheaper version of ht2-tl or a better version of song towers. All these are supposed to sound the same, with some variations in bass and sound clarity depending upon the drivers.
These are MLTL and go down to about 35hz at -3db. Here's link to the original project page - forums.audioholics.com/forums/diy-corner-tips-techniques/68531-new-diy-mtm-towers-designed-dennis-murphy-paul-kittinger.html
The sub is for my desktop system. I am using the tang band 1363SB 8" driver with a fostex plate amp. Amp can do 115w into 4 ohms. The cabinet internal volume is 0.75cuft, its tuned to about 30hz. The external size is 8x15x20, kinda like a pc. i wanted something that i can hide behind my computer desk. As per simulations, it does about -4db at 31hz. I can alter the hpf to go lower, hardly any need though. My room is small and there should be plenty of room gain.
My mobile takes really crappy pics, here's proof of that.
