Hi,
I have booked ZDI model of ertiga.

I need ICE with:
*Touch screen HU
*Biggest possible screen
*Preferably with Navigation built in
*DVD and blue tooth support
*Compatible with backseat screen
*Compatible with steering mounted audio control
*Good sound quality (must)
*Want to fit reverse camera too in HU screen
*Shall upgrade speakers too
*Budget around 50K
*Warranty should not be voided

Kindly tell me:
*Brand of each component with approx price
*Where to get? (Maruti dealer or outside, whats difference between two?)
*Will dealer buy back stock HU/Speakers?
Thanks

Look at Map My India in dash units. Never heard these, hence cannot comment on the SQ.

In-Dash GPS Car Navigation and Entertainment Systems from MapmyIndia

Cameras sell for 1800 onwards. Head rest mounted screens used to be in the 7k region IIRC.

Technically speaking, as long as wires are not cut, warranty cannot be refused. Depends on your dealer. They always try to wriggle out of potential claims.

It would be very difficult to fit everything within your budget. Either increase it or make a list of gizmos you can live without.

Hi.
Is it advisable to change HU initially (retaining speakers), or
To change speakers and retain stalk HU to get good SQ?
Whether reverse camera in mirror or in HU screen is better to use?

I would start with changing speakers first.

From what I have read, people have rated Infinity better, but it also depends on what series in Infinity and Polk you are referring to.

Head Units by itself can drive(power) the speakers but they in-general do not do a good job at it. i.e. they may not be able to provide sufficient power to the speakers to make them sing. This is where the amplifier comes into picture. i.e to power the speakers better.

Think of an AVR as a Head Unit. An AVR can drive speakers but sometimes people do go for a power amplifier by connecting the pre-outs of an AVR to the power amp and the power amp will then drive the speakers.

A woofer is similar to having a sub in your HT setup. If you feel the need for more/better bass, you would go for a woofer. However unlike HT subs which normally do come with in-built amplifier (active), car woofers are passive do not normally come with amplifier and hence the need for separate amplifier.

All dealers in Solapur selling pioneer HU at MRP.
For e.g. 8490 at Rs30K. What discount should we expect at MRP of speakers and HU?

hi,
Its confusing.

*I am thinking on pioneer HU 8490 @ Rs 30k. Is it/price and model ok?
WHats practical difference between Pioneer 8490 and 5590 (@ Rs 27k)

*Planning for focal speakers? How is this brand?

*Which damping material to be used?/Brand?
What is its approx. cost for ertiga?

Thanks

Instead of Pioneer, have a look at JVC.

Focals are very good speakers. Get components for fronts.

Dampmat is made in India is of very high quality. NoiseKill is a cheaper option.

Which panels do you want to damp? I would suggest the front doors and the hatch lid.

Thanks a lot.
If I get dampmat , will local person be able to install it?
If front doors are focal speakers, then which speaker to install at rear door and in place of tweeters?
Do I need amplifier?

Dampmat is just like other damping sheet. You could even DIY. Peanuts, moomphali cheelo aur kha jaao.

Get components for front and coaxials for rears. An amplifier is recommended.

hi,
*Can anybody tell me please--
* exact model of focal component speakers and coaxial WITH its approx price?
*Which pioneer touch screen HU?
*Brand and model of front backseat LCD screen
*Amplifier details with exact price please.
If I can not install amplifier at present (budget problem), then what is the way out?
*On team bhp site people are praising dampmat a lot, is it really worth? or material used by local shop will do?
