The price as always may go down in the future, but no better time than this to subscribe to SUN HD as the IPL season is going on now. If you are not a cricket fan, you may wait for a while for others to come up with HD services or for the prices to go down.

Tata Sky is going to be launching HD Services just before Common Wealth game.

For your second questions - There are loads of Media Players which can do that for you. Xtreamer, WDTV Live, Popcorn Hour. It's been discussed within our forums.

I just got my SUN HD today, The HD content is good. But i'm a little dissapointed and i'm already having signal problems. Hope they get this sorted soon.

Sun Direct HD service totally Sucks

Very immature. I keep getting E-48-32 (No Signal. Check Cable) code every 10 minutes. Even after several complaints, this problem is not yet fixed. They say it is their network problem or they say it is a unique problem just for me. No kidding the service sucks.

Never recommend anybody for SUN DIRECT. Very Poor Customer Service.

Sad to hear your problem, But mine was fixed the very next day. The STB was the culprit, and it was replaced to solve the problem.

The problem is not unique for you, the service person told me this has happened before. Insist that you need a replacement STB. Also check the signal strength of the connection.

I am enjoying my Sun HD...So far so good.
Watchin IPL in HD is too good. I wish though , there were more HD channels.

I want to buy it in their exchange offer (Rs.7500), called up customer care at 011-39408585 on 13th and 15th, both times I was assured that I will get a call back within 24 hours but nobody called me. If it is so before selling, what will be after it?

BTW, I am in Gurgaon (NCR).

You might as well wait until the other DTH companies come out with their HD service. That's what I'm doing. Then again, if Sun HD is the only one offering the football WC, I might have to re-think.

Yesterday night, while riding towards my home from city, just happened to see the SUN TV DTH on demo in an consumer electronics store. Hmmmm, stunning pictures, still its only 720p I guess!

The offer was very good at 7.5K, but planning to wait. I am sure we can have one for 3-4K down the road. As a matter of fact, I stopped watching TV channels after tasting the blu(-ray) taste.

Actually it is in 1080i which is the maximum offered anywhere in the world for non 'pay per view movie' channels.

They are the first HD provider in India and with maximum Hd channels,there is nothing to complain about their pq,sq than their customer support.5.1 audio is awesome & pq is exceptional.......

They have easily the worst 'custoemr service' amongst all DTH companies. They are also the most arrogant and also by far the most expensive DTH HD service. Also, other than 'south' based channels, they have a very limited number of channels.

after viewing soundbar post ,i checked my sun hd balance, it showed Current Balance:
-1659.46
i asked them to activate 1 year subscription for 1950 on 8/04/2011 and i recharged it for 1950 to have sufficent balance,then i called them to confirm it ,while calling the cc ppls they said 25rs is less in my a/c to activate the 1 year pack and asked me to recharge for 25rs,i did the same and called them that i have recharged for 25 and they confirmed it.i thought it would have been activated.

today after seeing the balance ,i called them , they say that the plan has changed on the same day from 1950 to 2450rs (08/04/11) and they will take a complaint about it ,they said that cc ppls were not aware of it on that time , ,is it my fault?.....
i don't know what to do ...........errrrrrrrrr........
