Why are you even trying a full format? Its should already be formatted.
I'd say do a quick format, create 10 equal partitions and then read write something on the 10th partition.

guys winvista asks saying disk is not formatted , why else i will format for hobby ...
quick format was not moving, full format showed 1% in 1 hour, may be the china guy had given a mystry device
my imagination :
there is a motor inside and a firmware , coz motor runs all the time
but it was packed well asif the seller wants me to get HDD nicely,i am getting confused:sad:

I feel sorry but I had bad feeling about this deal from the very beginning mostly because the 2.5 inch 2tb drives were launched recently and the old 1tb drives costs more than 5500 bucks.
The new 2 TB 2.5 inch drives look like this and costs more than 10K.

Sorry but no bad jokes! Every once in a while you get scammed when you are traveling the rough waters especially the devils sea (ebay Chinese products). Even I have bought some fake nippon chemicon capacitors which were used parts. At least worked and were just for 1K.

yes ,seems the USB to ide/sata converter is there. ihave no issues with that but it must have atleast 500gb

Was there a 2.5 Inch ide with 500 Gigs capacity?
