Friends, I have a strange issue in my Marantz SR5002 AVR. When I plug in my headphone or after I remove it, the left channel audio remains low until I quickly crank the volume up and down. Then it works normally till I plug in the headphones again. Could this be some relay issue? Has anyone faced this earlier?

The model is quite old....the latest being SR5013.

Could be failing components inside....you may try to give it for proper servicing to a good technician ..else upgrade to a higher model....

Thanks for the suggestion. Yeah it is an old model... Have it for 10 yrs now... It's such a gem. Except for this issue there is absolutely no other problem... So don't want to let go of this :)

Yes, it does seem to be relay issue. It's not so hard a job for tech. Based on rating and specifications relay should be around 300 ~. If you want to go long with this AVR, you may as well look OMRON relays. They are very good.
