Hello all,
Does anyone own the Fiio DM 13 CD player. I just have some queries about this. Any help would be useful.
Thanks in advance.

Yes red book cd. Not scratched or mp3 or pirated. Most of my cds are old but clean.
Did you buy from HPZ. Do they do servicing/repairs if any issues.
Yes normal pre-recorded CDs is what I use. I haven't used any servicing from HPZ ever so I don't have a clue!

I have DM 13. Top load and plays with any type of audio CD. I have very old, scratched CDs - all are played without any hitch. Teamed with Denafrips DAC. It says burning CDs, didn't try.

Thanks for your reply. Was planning to go for this but it's out of stock now

FiiO DM 15 with R2R DAC is available. Better one
Yes I know, but is a 10k jump worth it. Was having a chat somone about the ones on Amazon(discman type}, which he owns though bought in UK. Same brand & similar ones are available here for 5 -8k. I am not too worried about fidelity(my ears are not what they used to be) as long as it gets the job done
How bad will they be? And if I don't like or some other issues I can return.

Has anyone here tried the FiiO DM15 (R2R version)?

I’m curious how it compares to older Sony Discman players in terms of musicality. Does it deliver that rich, smooth, analog-like presentation, or is it more of a modern R2R sound with a slightly warm tilt?

Also, how does it perform in areas like microdetail, dynamics, and soundstage compared to classic Discman units? And is the noise floor/black background noticeably better?

Would love to hear impressions, especially from anyone who has directly compared both.

DM13 has a power off Thump . I have it but not used too much , Just went back to Marantz .

These are ok for Computers , Headphones - for which its designed . Using this with regular amp setup does not produce great results in terms of SQ.

Get a Philips EP200 DVD player from Flipkart or Amazon if on budget and that sounds better than these in my regular setup
