Fire TV stick...Batteries getting discharged fast.

I too faced this drain issue in the 1st gen one,support team told me that even when the Fire stick is Off,the remote still consumes battery in stand by mode. I think they corrected it with the Alexa remote one.

Have been facing the same issue for a long time and spent quite some amount buying the Duracell batteries to keep on replacing them.
Finally resorted to the Fire TV Remote App on the phone and it is much better experience now.
