First speaker build suggestion

Hi folks,
I want to build my first computer speaker mainly for music listening (~90%) and want to keep it simple because i don't want to mess around 2 way design and crossover stuff.
I looked all 3inch drivers and this one suits my needs:

It could hit 80hz -3db

what do you think?

SB's are really good drivers you can go with it. What will be the Amplifier module u will be using to drive these speakers?

Which kit exactly? Stereo amp modules are good, avoid the 2.1 modules as they almost kill the low end on stereo channels.

For a beginner, making a small enclosure, the job is really fairly straightforward and you'll still get good results. Make the box out of 1" MDF. Finish it using either paint or stick laminates on it. (I'm assuming you'll get a carpenter to do all this.) Small boxes of the kind needed for a 3" single-driver box don't even need bracing if you make them out of thick MDF like 1".

The only part your carpenter will have to do slowly and carefully is cut the circles for the speaker driver. Don't even bother to recess the cutout to make the driver flush-mounted. I can assure you that for a beginner model, you will not hear the difference between a top-mounted driver and a flush-mounted one.

Edges of the front baffle don't need to be rounded. You can bevel them at 45 degrees, something any carpenter will do easily for you.

That should do. Just go ahead and build. It's not 1% as scary as it seems at first. And most of the things which experienced builders fuss about for their speaker projects are not of much relevance for a beginner build. I'm speaking from a lot of experience.

These are good drivers. the shape is a little odd for this driver, so flush mounting will be a pain. Add an optional Bsc, or Just Eq to your liking on your desktop and Enjoy!!!

Yes, I have, a long time ago. I used the Jordan JX92S to build a pair of bookshelf speakers. The only circuit was the LR pair for baffle step compensation.

You can easily build one around the Mark Audio drivers sold by TheAudioCrafts or the FR drivers sold on DIYAudioParts.
