Flipkart Flyte Anniversary - Free Downloads!

Dream Theater - Awake...is available in today's downloads...hope you guys have taken it. It's as good as Progressive Metal gets...

Thanks for the information,. I made some download yesterday and the quality is too good.
Even i think we can download some good 320kbps quality for lesser price.

Today I opened the mp3 library preference settings and I found the default download bitrate to be 128kbps. All the previous downloads were in 320kbps. I corrected the bitrate setting to 320kbps and now all downloads are in 128 kbps, even if the library shows 320kbps. Set the kbps back to 128 again, but no change.

Is it because the offer has ended? I downloaded all albums which were there till yesterday and they were at 320kbps and I see no new albums till now.

If you are not getting 320 KBPS try this,

1. If you are using flipkart download manager, Open it and cancel all downloads. This is important without following this step downloader wont clean existing meta data
2. Goto your default download folder where browser store the files.
3. Delete all *.fkdm (check the exact extension name).
4. Goto MP3 library and change settings to 320 KBPS, save the changes (Not all files offered by flipkart is 320 kbps)
5. Select the songs/Albums you need to download . Open the *.fkdm file and restart your download.

Please also note that some files may NOT be available in 320Kbps. Setting a default rate in download manager does not automatically mean that all files will be available in in the bit rate set. You need to got to each individual file and set it to the appropriate available one.

No. It didn't work. I can see the songs are listed as 320kbps and I have enabled 320 kbps in the mp3 library preference. Even direct download is 128 kbps.

The songs I selected are 320kbps. To double check I re-downloaded a 320kbps song which I downloaded a few days back, but it also is now downloading in 128 kbps.

All downloads are 128 - if you switch to 320 or even 64bit, the 128bit file gets dloaded. This is from yesterday.

I tried what svkndv suggested - cancelled dloads, deleted fkdm, even reverted the flyte version to the pre-offer, set all to 320 in library, dloaded fkdm, loaded in the old flyte version, still was getting 128.

Then I tried direct download without flyte - that's when I found that even if you switch 320 or 64, the dload file was of 128. I guess they have defaulted all dloads to 128, which no longer makes sense for me, since I have most of what I need in 128/192/256 already :(

Today I have downloaded few albums- direct download..and all are 320 kbps..

Looks like a major bug in their backend - defaulting downloads to 128. Considering that most regular users are not concerned about bitrate, they may not even receive any complaints and hence may not be aware of the issues. All the previous songs are being downloaded in 128bps

Something is missing somewhere. All my 320Kbps downloads are 320Kbps and the size of the file is double nearly of the 128K version......Of course all files may not be the same

Downloaded a couple of songs today, directly from the browser (no download manager). Got them at 320kbps. Checked and confirmed.

Re-download songs today. You will get it in 320kbps now.

I think there was some bug yesterday.

One more Issue i saw is Flyte Download manager downloads previously downloaded songs again or at least creates folder by that name.

Yeah...even I got my downloads in 128 yesterday :( today it seems to be working fine...

Should I re-download all the yesterday's albums?
