Floorstanders in 20k

Also look for Mission M34i towers. Though the new prices has been marked up higher, there are many members here who purchased these beauties for 18-19K before the price hike.

Hi

Please suggest me floorstanders in 20k range for denon 1610.

You can take a look @ Sonodyne Sonus FS 2504 (2 Way 18K) & Sonus 2605 v2 ( 3Way - 24K). The 2605 is a fantastic speaker for the price in my opinion for HT setup.

I have an Onkyo receiver with Mission M35i FS (32K) , i have also auditioned Sonodyne 2605 (24K) with Onkyo receiver, i feel Sonodyne has the edge over Mission M35i in HT setup.

Polk Audio . has one model for Rs.20K...
with Denon 1610 its a good choice...

I have listened to Polk TSI-300 floorstanders with Denon 1611 (MRP 21k).
Personally, I felt that they sounded a bit harsh to my liking.
Found Wharfedale 10.1/ 10.2 bookshelves to be better, even in low end response. These actually live-up to their on-paper specs of 42Hz low-end response.
But after all, it is all very subjective and depends on individual tastes.

Having bought the MV8 recently, would not recommend them really for a budget of 20k. They lack bass and their highs are little piercing and in general do not seem to be full bodied.

Fully agree to the above. MV-8's though decent for their pricing, pales in comparison to M34i's and the new MX series from Mission.

But even though the MV-8 don't shine as much as its big brothers for music, I found MV-8's very good bargain for HT (movies) once you add a decent subwoofer. Demo'ed the MV-8 along with MS-8 and MS-10 subs and the performance was much more detailed than some Jamo towers (sorry the model numbers misses me) costing some 42K a pair. The Jamo setup used its own sub-woofer but I still liked the MV-8's with mission sub for their outstanding sound detail.

I haven't even powered up my new MV-8's but after hearing the MX series, I may go for MX series and sell my MV-8's since my primary focus is music. The new MX series goes for 34-36K per pair and it sounded the best among the three Missions I've auditioned.

Very True. I do find them good for movies.

So you have bought the MV8s?. How much did you have to pay for those?.
BTW why are so particular about the missions?. At 34k I think there are
other options as well. Good or bad I dont know but do audition those and
leave your opinions/feedbacks. Since both of us own a MV8 and have listened
to it and have similar opinion, your feedback on other FS will help me when
I decide my next pair of FS (sometime early next year).

Thank you.

I paid 23,990 for the 5.1 package while this was on sale on Ebay. As a package, it was an awesome deal and worth every penny. It's just that I started comparing with its big brothers and started wavering...lol

Sure...
Not particularly addicted to Missions as such but I like the sound signature of English speakers. Missions just falls in my budget whereas other better known UK based speakers are 2-3 times my budget.

What other UK based speakers are you referring to?. AFAIK the Wharfdale 9.5, 9.6 should fall within your budget.

Anyways, if you do get a chance to audition, do leave your opinion/review.

Thank you.

A couple of options more:
1. Yamaha NS-8900 FS
2. Norge TWR135 FS
both should fit in 20K budget. Whether their sound suits you or not, of course finally depends on you.
