Hi
My friend bought Technics vintage tuner in Japan, model ST-gt550.
Now he found that the FM frequency is 76-95 MHz as it is transmission range in Japan.
So what can be solutions to extend range to normal i.e. 88 to 108 MHz

Thanks
Sudhir

Its really tricky.....this is what i could find over the net

All FM detection internally works on 10.7Mhz IF. So ones your radio station frequency converts to this, it works further without any change.
Though this link above is good non intrusive solution, there is no harm in tuning local oscillator of first step in RF head end, +10MHz. But rather doing by trial and error method, I prefer proper alignment of RF headend. After that no change is required.

Thanks for your inputs....the OP will review and decide what works best.......as for me, I this is what i could find at that time.,....
